O telhado da casa tem sido um capítulo a parte em todo esse processo. Há meses vimos trabalhando em cima disso. Primeiro com a possibilidade de colocarmos telhas ecológicas na casa, para o que contatamos a fábrica, recebemos visita do responsável pela região, iniciamos conversações que nada avançaram. No meio do caminho refizemos os cálculos de madeiramento para receber as telhas ecológicas, houve atrasos, a planta apresentada tinha erros grosseiros.... Uma novela.
E as chuvas, ah, as chuvas....... kkkkkkkkkkkkkkk........ só rindo!!!!
Finalmente conseguimos o melhor telhadista da região e fizemos o telhado dois, sobre a laje na parte de trás, usando telhas portuguesas e madeiramento de demolição. Essas madeiras, de primeiríssima qualidade, são todas peroba rosa, já extintas aqui na região. Hoje o que se tem é "peroba do norte", vinda da amazônia. Destruimos tudo aqui e agora reproduzimos o mesmo erro por lá. Dentro de alguns anos poderemos orgulhosos legar um imenso deserto a nossos descendentes.

The roof has been a difficult chapter in the construction process. As we intended to use ecological tiles, we pondered about it for months before getting in touch with the company, receiving a rep and trying to close a deal. In order to use ecological tiles, we needed to recalculate the quantity of timber – regular tiles are heavier - what delayed the roof work in some weeks. While checking this new calculation, we came across a series of elementary mistakes. With such specifications the roof would not work, and our business with the company ended in nothing. We finally gave it up. A real soap opera.
And the rain... oh, the rain... we cannot help but laughing about it.
After a few weeks we were introduced to the best roof maker in the city, and could concluded the roof 2 – at the back of the house - obviously using conventional tiles and timber from tore down houses. By the way, timber with very high quality, from trees extinct in this area. We have used up our trees, destroyed the ecosystem in the region and, what is worst, we keep on committing the same mistakes in the Amazon Forest. We surely have not learnt from past mistakes. In a few years, we can proudly offer the future generations an immense desert.
